Integrated Medical Services is pleased to name Laura Nixon as its Director of Governmental Regulatory Services. Governmental Regulatory Services(GRS) such as MACRA are a foundational service of IMS’ mission for the growth and continued independence of physicians. In the company’s endeavors to navigate physicians into the future of value based care, GRS is an essential element to elevate the clinical and business processes necessary for a positive and value-adding transition.
Upon completing her Bachelors of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Purdue University, Laura continued her education in efficiency and workflow redesign, receiving her Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University. As she began narrowing her focus to the Healthcare realm, Laura pursued her Master’s Certificate in Health Information and Informatics Management – Health Information Exchange from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis.
The last several years have been spent deeply involved in physician practice support, including Meaningful Use compliance and Commercial Payer Quality Reporting, for Quorum Health Corporation and Community Health Systems, with thousands of clinicians. Previous roles include business management in an independent physician practice, as well as Meaningful Use and EHR project management at the Regional Extension Center of Purdue University.
“I have been fortunate to work with all specialties in over forty states in small and large practices to achieve Meaningful Use utilizing many different EHRs”, states Laura.
She is highly energetic, detail and goal oriented and dedicated to helping clinicians reach their goals in regulatory compliance while providing enhanced quality of care. Her strategies are tried and proven with enduring success. As of this date, Laura has spent 7 years in the field, accomplished over 5,000 successful attestations, and has been a part of more than $100 million in received incentives.
Laura looks forward to helping you with all components of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial Payer Pay-for-Performance compliance including Review of EHR Configuration, Security Risk Assessment, Public Health Reporting, Improvement Activity Selection, Quality Metric Selection for Optimized Reporting, Performance Improvement and Coaching Calls with Summary Reports for Individuals and Groups, Audit Response and Support and additional continued guidance along the way.
